The Bigfork Valley Community Foundation recently donated $560 to the Over 50 Club in Bigfork to assist them with their winter heating costs.

The Bigfork Valley Community Foundation recently donated $420 to the Northern Itasca Food Shelf in Bigfork. The Foundation also donated $145 to the Northome Community Food Shelf.
Information about the Northern Itasca Food Shelf for 2010:
· They distributed 32,336 lbs. of food
· Cost was $16,000
· Families Served 616
· Individuals Served 1,673
Area Served:
· Bigfork, Effie, Marcell, Talmoon, Cook, West to State Highway #6 to Northome, and East to County Highway #7 to Balsam

The Bigfork Valley Community Foundation recently donated $400 to the Marcell Family Center to be used for their Children’s Programs.

The Bigfork Valley Community Foundation recently donated $300 to the Itasca County Sheriff Department’s K-9 program.

The Bigfork Valley Community Foundation recently received a significant Trust Fund contribution of $10,000 for special lighting that was installed in the newly opened Bigfork Valley Hospital Commons area.
The Trust Fund contribution was given in loving memory of 97 year old Ivan M. Mills who was the father-in-law to Carol Mills, a Bigfork Valley Hospital and Bigfork Valley Community Foundation Board Member.
Bigfork Valley Community Foundation is able to accept a variety of Legacy Gifts (Planned Giving) like the Mills Trust Fund contribution to assist us in fulfilling our mission of strengthening our communities. Bigfork Valley Community Foundation exists to provide an opportunity for individuals to contribute to a 501c(3) private, non-profit organization that will support the betterment of Northern Itasca Hospital District and its communities.
